Black Creek Falls in Autumn, 2016

A photograph of the waterfalls of Black Creek, a tributary of the Hudson River, in the Black Creek State Forest in Highland, NY after a drought-ridden Summer and Fall. The Black Creek State Forest is a 595 acre state park encompassing a network of private and public lands for conservation that surround the John Burroughs Nature Sanctuary. The waterfalls were accessed via John Burroughs’ Chodikee Trail.
